This history of Culver City is pretty great. Also, a great map that lists Silver Lake as “Sanborn Junction,” puts Los Feliz where Atwater Village is (possibly Glendale?), and includes towns I’ve never heard of such as “Buenos Ayres,” “Lima,” “Vineyard,” “Alla” and “Sentous.”
